Early years of Benicio
This life story is about famous actor Benicio Del Toro. His full name
Benicio Del Toro. Benicio was born on February, 19th, 1967 in the city of San Juan.
The capital of San Juan is Puerto Rico. Benicio's father, Gustavo Adolfo, was a
lawyer at that time. Mother's name is Fausty Sanchez Rivera. Benicio is not alone
in his family - he has a brother by name of Gustavo. He is the eldest brother in
Del Toro's family. Now Gustavo works as the children's oncologist center in
Manhattan.
Boys had lost their mother very early, in 1980. Her death was tragic. It was caused
by the hepatitis. Then father has sent Benicio the small city of Merserburg in
Pennsylvania to their relatives. In Merserburg he attended a local boarding school.
How Del Toro turned into an actor
After graduating from school Del Toro has entered the university California in
San Diego. But soon he leaves it because falls in love with theatre. Right at that time
Benicio Del Toro becomes an actor.
He goes to New York city to enter
the school of drama art "Circle In The Square". However,
Benicio leaves that school too and goes to Los Angeles. He takes lessons from
the well-known theatrical teachers for a period of three years.
The beginning of the career
While studying Del Toro tries himself on TV. In 1987 he has got a small role in an
episode of a popular serial "Police of Miami". Next year Benicio was invited
to act in a comedy "Big Top Pee-wee". In 1989 he was suggested to take part in
a new film about the adventures of James Bond. It was a movie "Licence to Kill".
That role made him the youngest evil criminal in movies about James Bond. In 1991
Benicio starred in the drama movie "The Indian Runner". Sean Penn is a director
of it and he gave Benicio a small role in his movie.
